2016 Annual Fundraiser: Sunday, October 9, 2016
Please mark your calendar and plan to join us for our 2016 fundraiser, happening Sunday, October 9. We look forward to returning for a fourth year to the Kern Center on the Milwaukee School of Engineering Campus and are grateful to MSOE for all their generous support.
18th Annual Milwaukee Empty Bowls Event
Sunday, October 9, 2016
Bowls: $25 each, Kid-made Bowls: $10 each
Kern Center – MSOE | 1245 N. Broadway, Milwaukee
Since 1999, Milwaukee Empty Bowls has donated $574,630 to help feed those in need in the Milwaukee metro area. More than 95% of the funds raised during this perennially popular event – held around World Food Day – go directly to aid the hungry in our community.
- Guests at our October event have their choice from a collection of more than 2,000 ceramic bowls handcrafted and donated by local artists, teachers and students.
- Soups prepared by local chefs are served with bread and other refreshments.
- Some of the area’s top musicians entertain guests throughout the day.
- Guests take their bowls home to serve as a reminder that there are always empty bowls in our community.
With the involvement and support of MSOE, local businesses and more than 200 volunteers, proceeds from this year’s event will benefit several agencies in the Milwaukee area. Meet our 2016 recipient organizations!
Thanks to the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), parking in the Viets Field structure (across the street from the Kern Center, below the athletic field) will once again be FREE during our event! Free Sunday street parking is also available, but a bit more limited.
We look forward to seeing you on October 9!
