In the past week, The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel featured articles on the statistics of rising poverty and, therefore, the sky-rocketing needs of homeless shelters, food programs and food pantries.
Empty Bowls is a defiant and compassionate response to our current economic woes. It combines many incredibly talented volunteers – chefs, artists, event volunteers and our host, MATC – to make an impact and help address local food pantries’ and programs’ real and ongoing needs.
